Seasonal Event Coordinator/Swim Lake Director 

Weyauwega Swim Lake

The City of Weyauwega is seeking a motivated and organized individual to serve as the Seasonal Event Coordinator and Swim Lake Director. This position is responsible for coordinating community events and overseeing the daily operations of the Weyauwega Swim Lake, located in Maasch Community Park.

This is a seasonal leadership role ideal for someone interested in recreation management, or community programming.

Position Details:

  • Season: Late May through August for Swim Lake & certain City Holiday Events

  • Hours: As needed during the week including some evenings and weekends

  • Location: Weyauwega Community Park & Swim Lake

  • Reports to: Mayor and Parks & Recreation Department

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assist with community events, recreation programs, and special activities.

  • Oversee daily operations of the swim lake, including opening/closing procedures and facility readiness.

  • Supervise and schedule seasonal staff, including lifeguards and swim instructors.

  • Ensure compliance with aquatic safety standards and city policies.

  • Assist with planning and promoting swim lessons, youth activities, and community events.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associated Degree preferred but not required.

  • Experience with recreation programs, event coordination, aquatics, or staff supervision preferred.

  • Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, AED, BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and implement recreation programs for all ages.  

 

Compensation:

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

Lifeguards/Swim Instructors & Office/Concession Workers 

Weyauwega Swim Lake 

The City of Weyauwega Parks and Recreation Department is seeking Lifeguards/Swim Instructors and Office/Concession Workers to staff the Weyauwega Swim Lake from June through August, 2026.

Lifeguards and Swim Instructor certifications are preferred, but applicants who are willing to be trained to obtain certifications will also be considered. 

Starting pay for lifeguards and swim instructors is $15.00 per hour. 

Starting pay for office/concession workers is $12.00 per hour. ​

Applications will be accepted until Friday, May 22nd or until all positions are filled.
